This past week our sweet feral cat Lola was clearly unwell. We were traveling from Rio Rico and I was desperate, so I made an appointment with an emergency vet. After waiting over an hour, they told me they wouldn’t be able to see her for several more hours and suggested I try somewhere else.
I noticed UrgentVet was right around the corner and, with Lola looking worse, I decided to go. We arrived around 10 p.m. A wonderfully kind vet tech immediately gave us a room, and another lovely team member handled intake right away—even though they were clearly very busy. I was terrified they would turn us away, especially since it was a little after 11 (their closing time) by the time Dr. Padd was finally able to come speak with me and examine Lola.
I explained that I suspected a UTI and that Lola is feral and does not like to be touched. Dr. Padd let me know she was finishing a critical case and would take Lola as soon as she could. She also mentioned that, given how feral Lola is, sedation would potentially be necessary— which I thought was a fantastic idea. They were able to sedate her around midnight and took her back shortly after.
Long story short: the entire team was compassionate, gentle, and incredibly caring. They clearly explained every step they planned to take. Many clinics struggle with (or avoid) ferals, but all three of these women were wonderful. They stayed long past closing to care for my baby, dry my scared tears, and properly test and treat our frightened little girl.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you to Dr. Padd and the two amazing techs. I’m kicking myself for not catching their names, but all three of you have a permanent place in my heart. It's been a few days and Lola is OBVIOUSLY feeling so much better. ❤️

Dr G & Priscilla are absolutely wonderful! They took care of my dog Rosie all day! I left her from
1 pm to 8 pm for IV hydration and they were
amazing keeping in touch with me, sending me pics, and providing me with every update.
Although urgent care is not cheap, they really try to work with you to figure out the best plan of action for your pet.
They will also give you estimates before you decide which services you will choose.
I am super grateful for how kind & compassionate the staff is here & I’m so happy Rosie was in good hands.
❤️

Everyone at the clinic was very kind and helpful. Although they could not perform the surgery that my dog needed because of underlying health conditions, they sent me to another clinic that did take care of him. They explained to me in depth what needed to be done and the reasons why in very clear terms to make sure I understood Exactly what my dog needed and why.
Tyler has gone out of his way to help us. He even dropped off my dogs vaccine records that I had left at their office and brought them directly to the urgent care that they had sent me to the experience I have had with them today has been outstanding and I would highly recommend anyone in need of emergency services to see them .

Dr. Temple and Eliana were absolutely amazing! I cannot express enough how grateful I am for their kindness, compassion, and genuine care during such a difficult time.

My sweet cat, Dundee, was recently diagnosed with cancer, and they treated both him and us with incredible thoughtfulness and empathy. Dr. Temple took the time to explain his condition in detail, what it meant for Dundee, and all the options available to us. We never felt rushed, and every question was answered with patience and understanding.

During one of the most heartbreaking experiences a pet owner can face, their compassion made such a difference. It was clear that they genuinely cared about Dundee’s comfort and well-being.

Thank you, Dr. Temple and Eleana, for going above and beyond. We are truly grateful for everything you did for our sweet boy. ❤️

Our regular vet had no appointments today and recommended UrgentVet. Found them online just before 9AM and scheduled a visit for 11AM. Very prompt and attentive, Dr seems very knowledgeable. Costs were WAY below if we'd taken him to MedVet. Also, when asked about the clinics our vet recommended, they said MedVet is more like an emergency room with longer wait times whereas UrgentVet is similar to an urgent care facility for pets. Team was excellent, all in all a great experience.

After an incredibly frustrating experience trying to obtain urgent veterinary care elsewhere earlier that evening, UrgentVet Taylorsville was an extraordinary contrast. From beginning to end, I was genuinely impressed.

My dog, Birdie, was experiencing significant pain and difficulty getting up and walking. I went online, could see the available arrival times for the evening, selected the next opening, and drove over. After about ten minutes in the parking lot, with clear communication from the staff by phone, we were welcomed into a spotless, quiet lobby and immediately escorted to a private examination room with seating for both my partner and me.

Birdie stayed with us the entire time. We never had to separate from him, and he was able to remain comfortable in one room throughout the visit.

We waited approximately 20 minutes for the veterinarian, but never once felt forgotten. A veterinary team member took Birdie's vitals, discussed his symptoms with us, and returned twice simply to check on us, explain where we were in the queue, and ask whether we needed anything. That kind of thoughtful communication makes an enormous difference when you're worried about your pet.

The veterinarian was exceptional. He spent approximately 20 minutes with us, listening carefully to our concerns and then directing his full attention to Birdie. He conducted an extraordinarily thorough examination, assessing his heart, checking him from both sides, observing him standing, and carefully palpating different areas to investigate the source of his discomfort.

I've had dogs for years, and I honestly cannot recall a veterinarian being more attentive and thorough during an examination.

Just as importantly, every person who handled Birdie was remarkably gentle. They spoke to him with genuine affection, moved carefully, and treated his comfort as a priority. It wasn't performative friendliness. It was thoughtful, compassionate care.

Afterward, the team explained his medications, treatment instructions, and pricing clearly and transparently. We checked out right in the examination room. They provided his medical records to me and offered to forward them to his regular veterinarian. His medications were ready within approximately ten minutes of finishing the examination, and we were on our way.

The entire experience took less than 90 minutes.

The difference from my earlier encounter with another urgent-care provider could not have been more striking. Where I had previously encountered uncertainty and dismissive communication, UrgentVet provided clarity, professionalism, transparency, and extraordinary kindness. I actually asked whether they provided routine veterinary care, because I would happily make this team Birdie's regular veterinary practice. (Unfortunately, they specialize in urgent care.)

That is perhaps the strongest endorsement I can give: after one visit, I trusted this team enough to want them caring for my dogs regularly.

This is what veterinary urgent care should look like.

My pup has been uncomfortable with a suspected pinched nerve or pulled muscle but we couldn’t get into our normal vet for a few days and it didn’t seem like we truly needed an ER visit so they recommended this spot. I was able to select a time online and got right in. The vet tech and vet were very nice and thorough through the exam and I had the option to do xrays or additional bloodwork if needed. The pricing was very similar to our normal vet so it’s great to know an option like this exists!

I have brought a few of my pets here for care. It is great for illnesses that come up after hours that aren't a true Emergencies. (UTIs, rashes, bug bites, limping).

The vets and staff have always been knowledgeable and kind. It's only a little less expensive than an emergency room visit, but I've never have to wait at all, let alone 3-4 hours like I have at the ER.

Our dog was in need of some stitches on his face and UrgentVet was great we were able to hold a place in line for almost our exact ETA and we're brought back into a private room within minutes with our boy. The technician was very attentive to our worries and caring for our kiddo as she put it and after getting vitals the Vet came in soon after. She was very professional with our anxious hurting dog and gave us what she wanted to do for him and the steps they were going to take. When we agreed the tech came back in and went through everything one more time as well as giving us the cost up front in an estimate so we would not come back to any surprises. It was a few hours to closing but they were able to sedate and suture him and they kept him under observation for as long as they could having us pick him up right before 11. While the cost was high it was probably less than half of what we would have spent at an ER Vet and knowing it up front made it much easier to accept and also to make sure we could afford it.
We were very worried because our kiddo is really an old man at 13 years old but they made us so comfortable leaving him in their hands. I would definitely recommend to anyone especially with the hours working great for any unexpected accidents around dinner time or if coming home from work to a sick pet and having to decide about waiting til the morning or going to an ER. This is a great middle option both in hours and cost.

From online “save-a-spot”, to check in and check out, the process was easy. Staff was nice, kind and approached our skittish-at the-vet boy calmly and gently.
They listened and understood but also didn’t keep us there long, like an emergency clinic. It’s so nice to have an in between for pets. When you can’t get into your regular vet and the emergency clinic is just more than you need, I’m so glad there’s an urgent clinic to turn to. Strongly recommend.

My 14 yr old senior dog suddenly developed issues walking and standing this afternoon. He was in pain and disoriented. We called our vet and several other emergency clinics with no immediate availability, and then found urgent vet online, called and they were taking walk-ins. We called again when driving over to let them know we were 20 minutes out. We were greeted by name as soon as we arrived carrying in our dog and immediately escorted to an exam room. Got answers and a plan of treatment for an injured disc and he’s home and resting comfortably. Everyone was very kind and efficient.

I called UrgentVet at 7pm about my cat Max who was having increased urination. They scheduled me for a 8pm visit.

When I called I was informed in a 11 year old cat there is a risk it could be an obstruction if that was the case I would be referred to the ER. I loved that they were upfront and prepared me for the possibilty so if worse case I would be ready for it.

Arrived 20 min early. Max was taken immediately back and evaluated for obstruction, which was fortunately negative. I thought it was fantastic that the serious possibility of his symptoms were ruled out immediately.

Jordan came in to take a history. He was incredibly friendly, thorough, and talked me through everything that would happen next including a realistic timeline. I can't say enough good things about Jordan! So impressed by him!!

Dr. Matthew DelGrosso came in within 15 minutes. He was quick and to the point. Explained each part of the exam as he did it. Discussed the options. We agreed on a plan. Max was given one time dose of injected antibiotic and gabapentin for the pain.

We were home by 9pm!

Our cat was not feeling well. She was nauseous and vomiting frequently and we decided to take her to a different Ver last night and it was awful so we walked away.

We found UrgentVet and we are so thrilled with the care, compassion, knowledge and professionalism we received. Amazing service. They were quick to get us into a room and promptly attended to our cat. They put a plan in place and were very transparent with the cost and fees.

Truly amazing service. I would recommend this Vet to everyone I know. Love ❤️ this place.

I’ve never had a smoother and more helpful visit. Went right back as soon as I got there. The Vet and Techs were amazing, they were thorough and always making sure to keep me in the know with what’s going on, I could tell they really cared for my dog. Towards the end of the visit my dog felt relaxed enough to even lay down. Would highly recommend!

It was clean, professional, thorough and pleasant. The vet recommended there was nothing immediately life threatening, and we could wait until morning as the estimates on the diagnostics was pricey. We opted to wait and see. We did end up getting those done the next morning at her regular vet. It was well worth the cost of the office visit at Urgent Care for peace of mind and less than an ER would have cost.

Everything about this place rocks! My cat had a partially detached claw on his left paw, and I wasn't sure what to do. After a Google search, I found this place and they offered oine registration to "reserve" your spot in line to see the doctor. It was quick to sign up. And when you arrive, you just check in on the tablets at the front, easy and stress free. A tech came out a minute later to ask us questions about my cat, and she was so professional, polite, amazing, and made me feel confident about choosing to bring my cat here to receive care. She brought us to a room a few minute later and kept us informed about the wait time (an emergency pet came in just before we did, slightly bumping us from our projected wait time). That same vet tech came back and said she would check out his claw and see how bad it was, and that he might not need to see the doctor at all. After a few minutes, she brought him back and showed us the claw she pulled off, explained he was good to go, just needed to make sure he didn't lick the wound, and told us we can bring him back anytime if we had any concerns. She said my cat was very well behaved and sweet, and didn't even charge us! All in all, we spent just over an hour here. Much better experience than other emergency vet hospitals I've been to. I will definitely come back here (hopefully not soon or often😅) the next time my pet needs to see an emergency vet! Huge shout out to that vet tech, I'm so sorry I didn't get your name, but you deserve a raise and more PTO! Thank you so much!

The vet tech and veterinarian were very nice and attentive to my cat. Even with emergencies coming in they kept checking in on us and helped us get in and out as quickly as possible. They gave me lots of options with different price points and helped me find a good plan for care. 10/10 recommend.

Come to this Urgent Vet after being turned away at 2 others including my established provider. Dr. Meyer amd Cecil the Vet Tech we're SO KIND. Listened to my concerns with care and did the extra test to ease my worries. Being in veterinary medicine can often times be thankless and draining so I just wanted to share my gratitude for the team here. Wait times were reasonable, prices were what one would expect at an emergency vet, and the diagnosis was clear to understand. Hoping I won't have to come back any time soon but absolutely will and definitely recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about UrgentVet Louisville and the compassion they showed our family during one of the hardest days we’ve experienced.

Our sweet Katy was 16 years old when she suddenly became very ill on a Sunday morning. Our regular veterinarian in Elizabethtown was closed, so we immediately headed to UrgentVet Louisville and called on our way. From the moment we arrived, the staff was kind, attentive, and incredibly responsive. They got us in quickly, worked with urgency, and took the time to explain every step, including the possible outcomes. They were honest with us while still being incredibly compassionate.

Unfortunately, Katy’s condition was much worse than we had hoped. Given her age and declining health, we made the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully rather than allow her to suffer. The team moved as quickly as possible to help us, but they also gently prepared us for the possibility that she might pass on her own before they could complete the euthanasia process. Sadly, that is exactly what happened, despite their best efforts.

What stood out to us was the honesty, transparency, and genuine care they demonstrated throughout the entire experience. Because Katy passed before the euthanasia could be completed, they refunded that portion of our bill and only charged us for the cremation services we selected. They didn’t have to handle it that way, and that level of integrity speaks volumes about the kind of practice they operate.

They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye, never making us feel rushed, and treated Katy with the utmost respect and dignity. Her ashes were returned sooner than we anticipated, along with a beautiful paw print keepsake that we hadn’t expected.

Then, a couple of weeks later, we received the sweetest handwritten note, personalized to us and Katy and signed by the entire staff. That small gesture meant more to us than they could possibly know. It was a reminder that Katy wasn’t just another patient to them, and that the people caring for her genuinely understood how much she meant to our family.

Even their pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the level of care and service they provided on a weekend when most veterinary offices were closed.

While the outcome was heartbreaking, I am incredibly grateful that Katy spent her final moments surrounded by people who treated her, and us, with such kindness and compassion.

We would absolutely trust UrgentVet Louisville with our pets again. If they were closer to home, we would choose them as our regular veterinary clinic without hesitation.

To the entire team, thank you for caring for our sweet Katy and for helping us navigate such a difficult goodbye with honesty, grace, and dignity. We will never forget the kindness you showed our family.

My 15 year old cat received excellent care when we had to make an after-business-hours visit there. Yes it was expensive, but what medical care is not? We were treated with kindness and respect and she has made a full recovery thanks to their medical intervention. I will recommend UrgentVet to anyone in need of an emergency vet when most other vet offices are otherwise closed. Thank you, Dr. Cooper & team!

I will keep this super short/easy: This is hands down, the most caring, efficient, and best place to take your loved pets in case of an emergency or even regular care. Pricing was excellent (especially for the hours/classification of an urgent care facility), the staff was friendly, caring, and the Dr.'s on duty were all top notch. I could not have asked for more - I will go back in a heartbeat if ever needed (hopefully not). Thank you UrgentVet team - A+ / 10 out of 10 experience.

Highly recommend them for pet emergencies! Our sweet pup has epilepsy and was having cluster seizures. We went in and he ended up having a seizure there. They were quick to rush to him and luckily were able to get it under control. Not only did they know what they were doing but they also treated him with such amazing care. They did amazing staying calm and helping with making him feel as okay as he could.

They sent over documentation of what was done to our regular vet as well! That was super helpful on our end.

I hope we don’t have to be back for such event but feel the relief of knowing where to go for emergency. We appreciate you guys so much! ❤️

We went to the beach today and Lexi found herself in a patch of sand spurs. We weren’t even there 5 minutes. She was covered in them. We rushed her to Urgent Vet in Westchase. They sedated her to make her comfortable and had a team working to get these prickly things out as fast as possible. It only took them an hour to get the job done. It was my first experience here and I highly recommend them. Lexi is now resting comfortably at home. She won’t be going back to the beach any time soon!

My baby was having trouble peeing and as soon as I noticed I took him here around 7 at night and they were so nice! They gave him some meds and even helped me with the bill since im on a tight budget. The lady doctor (i cant remember her name bc I was so nervous about my baby) was super nice and very thorough and she gave me all the options and they also gave me educational material and a list of all vets around the area. I would definitely recommend them for an emergency that isnt life threatening cause I think they are not for life threatening emergencies but on their website they tell you what illnesses they service.

My cat had a sudden bout of vomiting and refused food/water for two days so we brought here here as our normal vet was closed over the weekend. Staff were so kind and attentive, explained everything they were doing in the exam, clearly laid out treatment options, and administered those promptly. She ended up getting SQ fluids, an antibiotic, and an anti nausea medication. Priced very fairly. Two days later her appetite is back and she has not vomited. Very appreciative of the attentiveness of the staff, their kindness, and their prompt action. I will return here if any of my cats need urgent care again.

I called Urgent Vet around 6pm yesterday about my kittens. One of my kitties weren’t doing well at all. We were unsure of what was going on. She was very weak, faint breathing, etc. I had three, unfortunately the weak one passed before I could make it to the vet. (Hour and 10 min drive) closest vet that was open around me. My heart was/is broken. I arrived at 7:10pm last night. When I arrived they quickly got me in a room to attend to my other babies. They took AMAZING care of my Sushi & Chuck! I am forever grateful for them to have got me in so last minute and reassure me the other kittens were going to be fine with proper treatment & guidance from them. Answering any & all questions I had. I cannot thank you enough! The Staff, Veterinarian were so kind, caring, & helpful. Such a calm, caring, & non judgmental environment. Listened to all my concerns. Took the time to really help me out. I wish they were a primary vet clinic, I’d make that drive time & time again to have such an amazing experience every visit for my kittens! - Shawna Fillenwarth

Thank you, Team!!

Wow, what an incredible and smooth experience. I was seen immediately and was home within a couple hours. I am always weary of urgent/emergency vet care and being taken advantage of but that was not the case here. Dr Newman gave me all the options and her recommendations but did not pressure me into anything. I'm really grateful for my experience and UrgentVet will be my go to recommendation.

Our newly adopted Yorkie had bloody diarrhea. To say that I was worried would be an understatement. I went on Google and UrgentVet had great reviews. We took Marshall there and we are so glad we did.

We were impressed with the staff from the start of the appointment, to the end. Both Ariel and Dr. Haynes were so thorough and put us completely at ease.

Knowing that urgent care can be expensive, we were super impressed with the approach UrgentVet takes in discussing recommended treatment options. They presented the different treatment options, with the associated costs upfront. I appreciated the transparency and no pressure nature of the discussion. I find it so rare these days when everything is a about profit. You can tell they really care about your pet.

I'm happy to report that Marshall made a full recovery and is thriving in our home. I HIGHLY recommend UrgentVet, and will not hesitate to take either dog there again, if the need arises. Thanks so much for the great experience Ariel and Dr. Haynes.

Pricing and plan are discussed before treatment so you know exactly what you are spending, the doctors and techs are so lovely and helpful. Could not recommend this place enough! Cowboy, Grizzly, and Dewey give UrgentVet 5 out of 5 paws. 🐾

Our Chihuahua mix had what appeared to be a stroke, outside of our vet’s normal business hours. We took Gus to UrgentVet in Oro Valley on a Sunday and were seen immediately. Alina asked all the right questions and quickly prepared an intake form for Dr. Cannady. Upon her thorough examination of our little buddy, Dr. Cannady’s assessment was spot on. To say we were greatly relieved and appreciative would be an understatement. UrgentVet is a five-star recommended facility for welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, cleanliness, and most importantly, expertise. Thank you Dr. Cannady and Alina!

We had a very good experience at Urgent Vet. Our old lab took a turn for the worse and we knew it was time to let her go. Urgent Vet has a really nice, homey room with dog treats, a nice bed on the floor, and a calm atmosphere. They explained everything to us, didn’t rush us, and put us at ease.

If you need urgent care for your beloved pet I strongly recommend an Urgent Care facility. My experience today was excellent...high quality of care....kept me informed during my pet's x-ray....explained the reason(s) for current condition...and the cost was most affordable. Very satisfied.

First there was no waiting. They took our cat in for evaluation as soon as we walked inside. Everyone was friendly, thorough and respectful. We did need to be transferred to a near by hospital shortly after arriving but they called ahead with the info and meds already given typed on a letter before we left. As soon as we arrived at the hospital they knew who we were and immediately took our baby in the back. And then gave us the paperwork. Thankful for places like this that actually care about the animals they are treating. 100 out of 10

Had to bring our sweet Ellie-Mae here today for hurting her back. The staff was hands down absolutely amazing!!! We were there for quite a bit BUT there was more critical animals coming in that took priority over Ellie-Mae and that is 100% understandable! Even though we were there a little while, they still took the time with us to explain everything with Ellie-Mae’s diagnosis and plans for her road to recovery 💜 the staff was so sweet and informative! Even during the emergency that came in right after us that took first priority, 3 different people came in to update us and ask us if we wanted any snacks or drinks while we wait. The price was shockingly affordable being an after hours/weekend vet! I couldn’t be more satisfied with the visit today! Thank you to the UrgentVet team and Ellie-Mae thanks yall as well!

Very unfortunate that we had to take our pup to get his ear looked at....of course its never the right time..or day...with so many different "emergency vet" places around the difficulty is who you can trust....especially with our pets....the love of our lives...the one who truly gives us comfort after a long day and for me the one that gives me unconditional ❤️ and always happy to see me .....with this said....I found a place thats not to expensive. I was able to do everything online....from holding my time slot and pre registration. As we walked in, there was a tablet that we checked in with and my pups name appeared on a TV. The tech came out very promptly and took us to our private room. The atmosphere from when we entered the office to our exam room was extremely clean and smelled good. Of course treats everywhere as well as human complimentary coffee/water/tea station. Tech Lincoln took our info on why we were there...then Doc came in....very thorough....we left with our antibiotics and instructions. All of the info from our visit will be emailed directly to Gordo's vet...I am very pleased with everything and so is gordo....he is resting easy 🙏🥰...thanks to offices like these for being open when we pet parents need them....❤️💚💙....this location is top notch!

I took my dog to Benny asked to pull this first look down, but he doesn’t like that when he has to pull it down, then the offense tends to be much less. The other day in that game against the Saints, time after time, it is back foot, quick release to the 1st receiver he saw so far in UgentVet for her aging-related health concerns B. I was very impressed with the entire staff and the veterinarian's personality, knowledge, and communication. The office is very nice and very clean. I am very pleased with my experience.

The vet tech, and the veterinarian at this place were nice and loving to our pet Vinnie. The wait time is long because they have so many little lives in their hands they are trying to save! So whatever you do, make sure you book your time online first! Don’t just walk in, and even if you do book online, there’s still will be a wait because all those lives are ahead of your dogs! Nevertheless, great work guys and gals!

Came in with our 3y American bulldog, Oreo. He cut his paw this afternoon 😥 We walked in, checked in and Sade was there to greet us before we could even sit down. After a quick, thorough exam, Dr Amyx determined our big boy needed a few stitches to fix him up. A little while later, he was a little sleepy and all bandaged up. Great care and Sade even brought me a blanket while we waited! Very impressed with the care and compassion on a stressful Sunday evening. 🥰

Came here for an emergency. Unfortunately they were not equipped to handle my situation however they were very helpful in finding a doctor that could hopefully help and made multiple phone calls to help us get our pet to the right place. I appreciate the fact that they didn't run multiple tests when they wouldn't have been able to provide the necessary treatment. They were upfront and informative and truly care.
I definitely reccomend this practice.

Quickly and compassionately helped my listless senior cat, put my mind at ease and balanced testing needs against not stressing her out too much. AND my bill was the same as (maybe even less than) I usually pay at our regular vet in spite of being on a Sunday. Basic evaluation is about $130 and treatments / bloodwork prices are comparable to a standard non-urgent vet. Super impressed and grateful. Definitely our new go-to for urgent care and I'll be recommending them to all my local pet mamas.

Our puppy got into a fire ant nest and had a horrible allergic reaction. Every urgent vet In our area was either closed (because it’s Sunday) or had a 2 hour wait. Urgent vet in Hunterville told us to come and they took us right away and helped out our little fur baby. The vet tech Riley and Dr. Olephant took great care of us while we were emotional about our dog and assured us that our baby was ok. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you again

Absolutely great experience here when my dog wasn’t feeling well and I knew she needed care at night but didn’t want to go to a 24/7 emergency vet because the wait can be long and they are very expensive. At Urgentvet they were very upfront with every cost, bloodwork was done in 20 minutes and if xrays are needed they said they are usually read in 30-69 minutes. Very nice and professional staff and convenient location for me as well. They called me the next day to see how my dog was doing, which I thought was above and beyond. I will definitely be back if I need to in the future!

It was such a blessing to find veterinarian care on the weekend. Isn’t it always the truth that your pets get sick when your regular vet is not open. I just couldn’t bear to wait additional days for my dog to be seen for her conjunctivitis. She was so uncomfortable. I appreciate being able know is now comfortable and on the way to healing. Urgent Care Gastonia, Dr Thomas (first name) saw my dog Clarabelle last night after her cornea being injured by a groomer. He was swamped but showed true concern as a vet to look at her anyway. Following a quick overview, Thomas encouraged me to come back this morning if her eye hadn’t improved, telling me to get online and book the 10:00am appointment. Thankful for his guidance, then Dr. Keller’s advice and discovery of a scratched cornea, Clarabelle was provided peanut butter ans eye ointments with instructions to return in a week for a follow up, or sooner if necessary. GREAT PLACE!! Highly recommend when in a crunch for your animal care!!!

I've been here twice now and both times I am seen on time and have received excellent care. I like how there is no large waiting room filled with other pets. My dog was brought to a room at the time we booked. I highly recommend this place for your pet's needs as listed on their website.

We came in with a last-minute emergency right at closing time, and instead of turning us away, they welcomed us without hesitation. They performed an emergency surgery, took the time to thoroughly explain everything to us, answered our questions, and made sure we were comfortable before sending us home. Their compassion, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond meant more to us than words can express. Truly wonderful people and an outstanding place! 10/10, without a doubt! Thank you all so much for everything!

We had a wonderful experience with this veterinary team today! The doctor was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in explaining everything concerning our dog’s condition. He took the time to make sure we understood what was happening and the recommended next steps, using language that was easy to understand.

The young lady assisting him was equally amazing! She was so sweet, gentle, and compassionate with our dog, which meant so much to us.

It’s never easy when your fur baby isn’t feeling their best, but having a team that is both knowledgeable and genuinely caring makes all the difference. We left feeling informed, supported, and confident in the care our dog received.

I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality veterinary care!

We took our boston terrier with breathing problems. After the doctor checked our boston she made determined it was a cardiovascular and referred us to a 24/7 emergency hospital with a cardiologist department.

Called around 530 because my 3 year old hamster took a turn for the worse and they were so compassionate. They don’t usually do exotics but I couldn’t see him in pain anymore and decided it was time to put him down.
Allie (sorry if I misspelled it) who answered the phone was sweet and went to check if the vet would put him down. She called me back and we made an appointment for 7 pm tonight.
Thank you so much for helping me with my sweet baby boy cross over the rainbow bridge 🌈

A +++++ Very reasonable pricing for concerning but not immediate emergency situations. My cat on the weekend suddenly was having trouble walking. I had an appointment with my vet on monday but it was nice that they were there too walk in too and get needed information and pain meds till I could get to my vet... they also, did it try too push any treatments and gave me an itemized list an ideas before proceeding... definetly have and would recommend the. As an alternative too emergency unless it's actually life threatening. They can do xrays, blood work ect. Very friendly staff and doctors!!!

I learned of UrgentVet from North Paws vet. This place lives up to its name. It is an Urgent Care for pets, as opposed to a vet emergency hospital. I made a 6pm appt online, and upon arriving, was impressed with the calm environment. It had a quiet lobby because every appt has a private room. The staff was friendly but compassionate. The vet was thorough and patient. My cat was able to get bloodwork, urinalysis, and an x-ray. I was there roughly 2 hours, never felt rushed, and was well informed.
Upon leaving, I was emailed very thorough notes, test results, and xrays. This information was also sent to my primary vet, and Ocean State Vet, where I was going the next day. The weekday hours are 3pm-11pm, which is ideal for after work emergencies.
They accept Care Credit, and will go through all charges beforehand incase you want certain tests omitted, or have questions on the itemization.
My situation was very difficult because my pet was so sick, so suddenly. I highly recommend going here.

Very friendly staff and short wait. They did offer a whole bunch of comprehensive tests and treatment which wasn’t related to our current situation, but were not at all pushy. I brought my dog in for a nail injury and was in and out in about 2 hours despite it being busy day for the staff. My dog is terrified of the vet and everyone was very kind and sympathetic of her nervousness. We were allowed to remain with her while the sedative took effect and were given ample time for her to fully wake up after her nail surgery was finished. She was sent home with antibiotics and pain meds for her continued recovery. Thank you all for your care and diligence :-)

Sailor was seen promptly and was treated with care and compassion by both the tech and vet. We've had the unfortunate need to use their services twice so far. I have a feeling we'll use them in the future too seeing as my dog has zero preservation of life instincts, likes to wrestle wild animals, dines on all kinds of non digestible items, and is a general menace to society.

Both times so far the staff has been amazing. They truly care for the animals they treat and are very sensitive to the stressful situation the owners are in. They're very cognisant of the financial outlay that you have to make to use their services. They work with you however they can within their ability to treat your animal.

I highly recommend this location. My only complaint is that I wish they were open longer hours! This is a fantastic option when you need urgent medical care but not hospitalization. I absolutely will always go here first unless it's obvious that my dog will require a higher level of care.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Care, Compassion, and Service!

We had an exceptional experience with this urgent pet care team! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly, our pet was quickly assessed, and a plan of action was put into place. Surgery was necessary, and they made it happen that very same day!

The doctor and her entire team were absolutely amazing! Everyone demonstrated such professionalism, compassion, and efficiency throughout the entire process. They truly went above and beyond to make a stressful situation much easier, and we couldn’t have been more impressed with the care and attention our pet received.

To top it off, considering everything that was done, the pricing was very reasonable!

We are incredibly grateful to the doctor and her wonderful team for their outstanding care. I highly recommend this facility to anyone needing quality, compassionate veterinary care for their furry family members!

Our Pomsky is very vocal and dramatic, so trips to the vet are typically very stressful. We were concerned about a possible injury and took him to UrgentVet, and Sharmila worked some kind of magic on him. He loved her and was cooperative and quiet for the exams which has never happened. She and Dr Wint were both very helpful and walked us through steps to address the immediate concerns and follow-up care. So glad we found the UrgentVet team!

I really appreciated the honesty with this urgent care. I don’t have a general vet yet. My cat needed to get blood work done (not emergent) and we were prescribed meds. They told us it would make more sense to get this lab work done at a general vet to save us money and they were kind enough to give us a written script s as an option instead of filling through them where the price would have been double. Would go back and recommend!

Our baby Sly was acting off & we suspected urinary issues, the team was on top of it as soon as we arrived to ensure there was nothing dire going on. Dr. Kalinauskas & Camille were so generous with him and showered him with lots of compliments & love along the way! I'm so relieved after chatting with them. I'd recommend to anyone!

Update to add we had a second visit with Dr. Shiflett & Stevie and I cannot say enough good things about the people here! The both of them gave incredible advice & were thorough in explaining everything! :)

Naydah was our vet tech. She was so kind and good with our dog from intake and vital signs to imaging. Dr. Palgrave was amazing as well! She is the most kind and thorough doctor that has ever treated my dog. I can’t say enough good things about her! She understands that your fur baby is a member of your family who is so special and loved. She knows that when your fur baby is having problems it is scary and stressful. She was thorough in her explanation of my dog’s diagnosis and the thought process behind it. She showed me the X-rays and explained the findings. Then went through management of the diagnosis. She talked about the medications that are used and the purposes behind them. She gave me warning signs to look out for that would necessitate a return visit. She was patient with me and answered all my questions even when I asked a few twice. The clinic was so busy that we had a descent wait time beforehand and were there until after closing, yet she never once made me feel rushed. She was also worth the wait as she gave you all of her attention when it was your time. I honestly felt that we were her only patient. We were so lucky to have had her as our doctor that night! Thank you so much Dr. Palgrave!

I can’t say enough good things about this vet. I came in a few weeks ago a little frantic with my cat who had collapsed and was foaming from the mouth/panting. As soon as I walked in a staff member came over and immediately took my cat back where they put him on oxygen and stabilized him. They were quick and very informative. They recommended I transfer him to a veterinary hospital and made sure he was safe to be transported. When we arrived at the hospital, they already expected our arrival because UrgentVet called them to let them know we were coming. An UrgentVet staff member even called me the next day to make sure my cat was ok and ensure everything went well. To whoever was there that day, THANK YOU!! You guys are all extremely professional and great at what you do. Thank you for making the process easier for me as I was so worried. I can’t reccomend this business enough! If it weren’t for their hard work, I think my cat may not have made it. He’s happy and healthy now thanks to them!

Dr Long was absolutely exceptional. Not only was he extremely detailed in his examination and options for my beloved childhood cat, but he was also incredibly compassionate and gentle as well. I would recommend this UrgentVet to everyone and anyone. They made this extremely difficult situation significantly more peaceful for us. 10/10

My sweet little Luci had a puking fit yesterday and luckily I was able to get him seen as soon as they opened. The staff couldn't have been sweeter and more understanding. Luci was found under a porch and overall is completely healthy happy and back to his old playful self.

The entire experience from beginning to end was, hassle free, and easy. The staff are absolutely angels! The care they not only gave to our dog but the care they gave to us was unmatched. They are the sweetest, kindest humans anyone in a situation like we were in would be blessed to have by your side. I honestly can not say enough wonderful things about this business and its staff.

These folks were great yesterday when we had to take our super senior cat in for assessment (and ultimately euthanasia). The staff were swift in getting us in for our pre-arranged appointment (use the website for that) and got him assessed quickly but thoroughly. They explained our options carefully and when we decided that putting him down was the appropriate choice, the staff handled things with great care for him and for us. Costwise, it was more than it would have been at the SPCA or other nonprofit options, but we wanted closer to home in case we were too upset to safely drive afterwards. You never really want a pet to go, but the process here was as smooth as one could want.

I can't say enough good things about my experience. Dr. Steed, Marie, Dhaima, Blaine, and Liez made me feel like they were all committed to helping my 7-year-old pup, Knox, who had a severe ear infection. They immediately calmed me down, showed so much love for my dog, and reassured me that they would take care of the problem.great team!!!
